Focus on Youth is promoting academic and artistic excellence, recognizing achievement and providing critically needed mentoring and photography classes for Portland’s most vulnerable young people. Professional
Photographers from The American Society of Media Photographers and The Portland Metropolitan Photographers’ Association serve as volunteer mentors. Through one-on-one mentoring with professional photographers, at-risk youth learn the art of photography and darkroom skills while creating images to share through public exhibitions.
